I didn’t know much about this comedian, but hearing stories like this makes me curious about the behind-the-scenes lives of comedians.
About Daitaku’s Dai
In particular, I was surprised to hear in the comments that Daitaku’s Dai had participated in M-1. I look forward to M-1 every year, so I naturally feel a sense of closeness to the comedians who take the stage. I may have seen some of Daitaku’s skits before. Looking back, their unique rhythm and characters certainly left an impression on me. I find it wonderful that they have their own distinct style in addition to their group name.
Personal Connections
Recently, I’ve been going to live shows with friends and enjoying various comedians’ performances. There was even a time when a friend recommended a comedian they found funny, who later became a huge sensation on television. I remember feeling inspired, thinking, “They really have a different perspective!” Additionally, it was great to see comments about Oohara from Danbiramucho and Nakamura from 9-Bangai Retro, as I enjoy their skits as well. Comedians might not be people we interact with in our daily lives, but it’s fun to share knowledge about them this way.
A World We Don’t Know
That said, I didn’t know about Sasamoto from Nature Burger or the folks from the Prison Quiz Channel, which was a new discovery for me. Moments like this remind me how valuable other people’s knowledge and experiences can be. I aspire to be someone who can also say, “This comedian is hilarious!” to others someday.
