Question from readers:
Who do you think will be the next recipient of the National Honor Award?
Thoughts on the National Honor Award
Recently, there’s been a lot of buzz regarding who the next recipient of the National Honor Award will be. It seems everyone is curious about who will win, and I’m one of them. Shohei Ohtani’s name immediately comes
to mind. His achievements are truly remarkable, and even those who aren’t baseball fans can’t help but be overwhelmed by his presence. However, when it comes to who the next recipient might actually be, I’m keeping an eye on Kitaguchi-san’s javelin throw. She’s an incredible athlete, and I’m particularly excited to see her performance in this year’s World Athletics Championships and next year’s Los Angeles Olympics. Winning a gold medal could bring her closer to receiving the National Honor Award. Lately, I’ve even found the way she throws the javelin to be beautiful.
My Love for Comedy
By the way, I absolutely love comedy, and watching manzai and stand-up is one of my hobbies. Recently, I went to a manzai live show with a friend and ended up laughing so much that my stomach hurt. We arrived early and bought a bunch of snacks at the concession stand, but I ended up eating too much and had a bit of a rumble in my stomach during the show (laughs). Even these little mishaps became fun memories. After all, laughter enriches our hearts. Talking about the National Honor Award, it feels like, rather than focusing on who will receive it, we gain energy by connecting with the efforts and passion of those individuals.
