Who is Unlikely to Use Chiebukuro? Exploring High-Profile Figures and Their Information Sources

People Who Likely Do Not Use Chiebukuro

Recently, a friend posed an interesting question: Who is likely to not use Chiebukuro with a probability of “99.99% or more”? When I think about it, it’s hard to imagine these individuals utilizing a question-and-answer platform online. Particularly for those in highly significant societal roles, such as the Prime Minister or the chairman
of Keidanren, it’s difficult to visualize them using such platforms.

My Intuitive Answer

My intuition tells me that we can completely rule out individuals like the Prime Minister, governors of each prefecture, and the chairman of Keidanren. They possess a wealth of information and often consult experts. Similarly, the president of the Japan Medical Association and the National Police Agency Commissioner have specialized knowledge and likely don’t feel the need to rely on Chiebukuro. Moreover, individuals at the forefront of academia, such as the president of the University of Tokyo and Shinya Yamanaka, are also unlikely to use Chiebukuro. They are well-versed in their fields and typically acquire information through direct interactions or research rather than searching for general questions online.

Unexpected Discoveries

On the other hand, notable figures from the world of shogi, like Sota Fujii and Yoshiharu Habu, also don’t seem like they would use Chiebukuro. They learn a great deal about knowledge and strategies through shogi itself, so they likely don’t feel the need to rely on others’ opinions. I remember when I played shogi with a friend, he said, “Shogi is a battle with oneself,” which is precisely true. As for Shohei Ohtani, top athletes like him often communicate with experts or coaches to gain information specific to their fields. It’s hard to imagine him seeking advice on Chiebukuro.

Conclusion and Thoughts

In the end, I believe that those with high probabilities of not using Chiebukuro are indeed the individuals who hold leadership positions in society. They have the opportunity to interact with experts daily and access direct information. What do you all think? If you know someone who seems unlikely to use Chiebukuro, please let me know. I would love to hear others’ thoughts as well. Feel free to share your opinions in the comments!
