Recent Activities of Obokata-san
When my friends ask, “What is Obokata-san up to now?” I find myself pondering over it. Given the series of events that once surrounded her, many people are curious about her life afterward. I felt the same way and decided
to do a little research. In fact, it seems that Obokata-san is currently continuing her research activities. Recently, she has been focusing on utilizing her knowledge and experience in science education and outreach initiatives. I heard that she is particularly passionate about conveying the joy of science to younger generations, which made me smile. While her past events certainly caused a stir, it is heartening to see that she is now moving forward positively towards a new stage.
A Little Anecdote
As I reflected on this, I remembered a time when I had a disastrous science experiment with friends. I believe we decided to conduct a simple chemistry experiment at home, enthusiastically gathering materials and starting, but I accidentally mixed the wrong proportions and caused a big explosion. The room ended up covered in foam, and all we could do was laugh. Thinking back on it, those kinds of failures can turn into fun memories. I find myself imagining that Obokata-san might have had similar experiences. I think to myself, “In science, conducting experiments is important, but there’s so much to learn from failures too.” I’m starting to look forward to what she will accomplish in the future.
