Question from the readers:
It seems that the support rate for the National Democratic Party isn’t very good, but do the people who support Tamaki still say things like “It’s an old media conspiracy”?
Support Rate of the National Democratic Party and “Old Media Conspiracy”
Recently, I’ve heard news that the support rate for the National Democratic Party isn’t looking very
good. I remember discussing Tamaki with my friends when we gathered together. They were seriously saying, “It’s an old media conspiracy!” which I found quite amusing.
Interesting Conversations with Friends
At that time, I asked, “But the low support rate is a fact, right?” One of my friends passionately argued, “No, the media is intentionally reporting negatively!” I was a bit surprised by his enthusiasm, but at the same time, I thought, “Are you really going to go that far?” It seemed he resonated with Tamaki’s policies and thoughts, almost like he was his defense attorney. However, during these conversations, there were moments when laughter broke out. When one friend jokingly said, “What is old media? Grandpa’s newspaper?” everyone burst into laughter. Indeed, the phrase “old media” felt strangely amusing.
My Thoughts and Feelings
Honestly, I do have an interest in politics, but considering the impact of support rates and media coverage, I feel a bit conflicted. As a parent with children, I realize how important it is to think about the future. Moreover, listening to my friends talk about “old media” and “conspiracies” evokes a sense of nostalgia. It reminds me of when I took political classes in school, and we all seriously debated “What is democracy?” Looking back, it makes me smile a little.
