Thoughts on the Issue of Sexual Misconduct
Recently, the sexual misconduct issue at Fuji TV has become a hot topic. I completely agree with the opinion that it is strange to focus solely on Masahiro Nakai as the subject of investigation. I believe we need to look at the overall structure of the television industry and the entertainment world. Blaming
only specific talents is, to be honest, unfair and does not address the root problem.
My Experiences and Feelings
I remember going to a comedy show with friends, where we laughed but also discussed the darker side of the industry and its issues. One friend remarked, “The behind-the-scenes of television is actually pretty murky,” and it made me realize that there are many circumstances behind the laughter. As someone who loves comedy, I believe it’s essential to create a space where people can freely talk through humor. While movements like MeToo are important for raising voices, that alone won’t resolve the underlying problems. I think we need to adopt a broader perspective to truly examine the entire industry if we want to effect change.
In Conclusion
What do you all think about this issue? There’s definitely something unsettling about focusing solely on specific talents. I believe it’s necessary to reassess the overall structure of the industry to better hear the voices of the victims. Please share your opinions and experiences in the comments! I would love to hear different perspectives and think through this together.
