Reader’s Question:
I’m planning to visit Ninjatama at Nanjatown Umeda, and I was wondering if there are any purchase limits on acrylic stands. I would like to buy two of the same character’s acrylic stand, one for myself and one for a friend. Is that difficult to do? If anyone has
purchased them in Fukuoka or Tokyo, could you please share your experience?
My Adventure at Ninjatama in Nanjatown Umeda
Oh man, let me tell you about my recent trip to Ninjatama at Nanjatown Umeda! As soon as I stepped into that vibrant atmosphere filled with the buzz of excited fans, I felt like a kid again. I mean, it’s a paradise for anyone who loves anime and those adorable acrylic stands. I was particularly on the hunt for some of my favorite characters to add to my collection. So, I had this grand plan to snag two acrylic stands of the same character—one for me and one for my buddy. I had envisioned us doing this silly little dance of joy once we each had our favorite character proudly displayed on our desks. But then, I stumbled upon this little nugget of information that completely turned my excitement upside down. While chatting with a fellow enthusiast who had visited Ninjatown before, I learned about the purchase limits. Apparently, you’re only allowed to buy one of each type, and a maximum of six items in total. So, that meant no doubling up on the same character. I could almost hear my dreams of a synchronized display crash and burn. It was a bit of a letdown, but you know what? It just added to the adventure! As I wandered through the various sections of Nanjatown, I couldn’t help but admire the creativity of the displays. There were these adorable snacks themed around characters, and I may have indulged a little too much. I mean, who could resist a cute little bento box shaped like a popular character? I definitely didn’t help my waistline, but hey, it was all part of the experience, right? One of the funniest moments was when I accidentally walked into a group of cosplayers who were rehearsing a skit. They were so into their roles that they didn’t notice me at first. I stood there, trying to hold back laughter while pretending to be a serious bystander. It was like I had stumbled onto a live performance! Eventually, they caught me chuckling and invited me to join in. I probably looked ridiculous trying to act serious while they were in full costume, but it was a blast. Reflecting on the whole experience, it reminded me that sometimes, things don’t go as planned, and that’s okay. I still left Ninjatown with some unique goodies and a heart full of laughter. Plus, it’s always fun to share stories and laughs with fellow fans. So, have any of you been to Ninjatama or similar places? What was your experience like? Did you have any funny or surprising moments? I’d love to hear your stories and tips in the comments below!
