Thoughts on Recent Topics
Recently, I’ve come across comments about Watanabe Nagisa’s situation, saying things like “it’s just for publicity” or “there’s no way someone with PTSD could do gravure.” These opinions made me reflect a bit. I wonder why some people hold such prejudices. Personally, I love comedy and value laughter in everyday life, so I find the reactions
to these topics quite intriguing. There’s a lot about the media that we don’t know, especially when it comes to the negative reactions toward women who share their experiences after having been victimized. It’s hard to understand why some people dismiss their stories as mere “publicity.” By sharing their experiences, they may be helping others in similar situations, and labeling it as “publicity” seems overly simplistic to me.
PTSD and Its Recovery
I agree that “taking action” is essential in the recovery process from PTSD. Personally, I’ve regained confidence through challenges. Lately, I’ve been playing in the park with my child and brainstorming comedy material, slowly regaining a positive outlook. I feel that by taking action, I can gradually overcome my anxieties and fears. It’s also interesting to note that cognitive behavioral therapy has become the mainstream treatment method. Many people may still hold on to outdated views of psychoanalysis, but I hope they realize that there are now faster recovery methods available.
Confidentiality and Its Scope
Opinions on confidentiality can vary widely. It seems a bit strange for us, as outsiders, to get worked up over the details of contracts we don’t understand. Ultimately, it’s a matter between the parties involved, and it’s not something we should interfere with. Of course, if there is a confidentiality obligation, it’s important to adhere to it, but criticizing something we don’t fully understand seems to stem from a lack of comprehension.
Thoughts on Publicity
Personally, I don’t want to view the term “publicity” too negatively. While I can’t condone publicity that capitalizes on someone else’s misfortune, I believe that carving out a new path using one’s experiences is an act of courage. Sometimes, I think about how I would like to share something meaningful from my own experiences. Watching the recent developments, I find it fascinating how everyone has different ways of living and thinking. Engaging in conversations with people who hold different opinions can provide new perspectives, which is yet another joy in life.
