Question from readers:
What do you think about Kato Cha’s wife not having children? Is Kato Cha’s age a contributing factor? I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts.
Reasons Behind Kato Cha and His Wife Not Having Children
Recently, I was chatting with a friend about why Kato Cha’s wife has not had children. Considering that Kato is 68 years old and
his wife was only 23 when they got married, it’s natural to think of various reasons. They may have discussed their life plans thoroughly at the time of their marriage. I’ve also been talking more about parenting lately, especially when chatting with younger dad friends, often asking, “What is life like with kids?” It’s understandable to feel anxious about the future, especially in cases like Kato’s where there’s a significant age gap. After all, Kato will be over 90 when their children would be graduating from university.
Respecting Kato Cha’s Choice
I want to respect Kato’s choice. It’s not just about age; his wife’s feelings and their lifestyle likely play a role as well. Perhaps they decided from the start that they would not have children. Considering the burdens of infertility treatments and parenting, this could have been the best decision for both of them. Speaking from my own parenting experience, raising children is enjoyable, but it can also be challenging at times. There are nights with little sleep due to crying, but also touching moments watching your child grow. That contrast makes it all worthwhile. It’s a daily mix of laughter and tears.
