Thoughts on Weekly Magazines and Online Bashing Articles
Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about the bashing articles in online platforms and weekly
magazines. The articles related to the royal family and celebrities are particularly intriguing. Sometimes, when I browse online news, I come across unbelievable content.
Should We Believe or Enjoy?
I’ve had conversations with friends over tea about this topic. For instance, one friend mentioned, “There was an article saying that royal family member said this, what do you think?” To which another friend replied, “If that article is true, it’s a big deal. But isn’t it probably exaggerated?” It made us all laugh. There is indeed a lot of content lacking credibility. I also have my own criteria for what to believe. I generally don’t trust anything unless it comes with images, audio, and verified testimonies. There was a time when I got excited about an article claiming a celebrity was involved in an affair. Later, we found out it was fake news, and we all laughed, saying, “Not again!”
Enjoying Fake News
In the midst of this, I’ve recently discovered a way to enjoy fake news. For example, I find funny articles and create comedy sketches with friends based on those news stories. We joke about, “What if this really happened? What kind of twists would it take?” It’s fun to let our imaginations run wild. While I make sure not to take it too seriously, turning it into laughter helps relieve stress.
