Reader’s Question:
Why do we see so many geniuses among today’s youth? It feels like there are more talented individuals like Shohei Ohtani, Yuzuru Hanyu, Naoya Inoue, and Sota Fujii emerging. Is there a special reason for this?
Reflecting on the Era of Geniuses
Lately, I’ve been hearing a lot about the increase of geniuses among young people. The names of
individuals like Shohei Ohtani, Yuzuru Hanyu, Naoya Inoue, and Sota Fujii certainly excite us. Every time I see their achievements, I can’t help but wonder if there’s something special behind it. When I was younger, I often thought, “I could never do that,” as I watched these geniuses shine. Now, I realize that while they are undoubtedly exceptional, there are many factors contributing to their success.
The Impact of the Era and the Importance of Environment
Looking back through history, each era has its own “genius.” It’s true that every decade seems to give birth to a new shining star. For instance, during my childhood, I was thrilled by the performances of Ichiro and Saori Yoshida. The current generation may also be thriving in sports and arts thanks to the peaceful and prosperous environment they are growing up in. Having recently become a parent, I have come to appreciate the significance of such an environment in nurturing a child’s growth. I want to provide my child with opportunities for free expression, and I believe that enjoyment is the most important aspect. As someone who loves comedy, I often think about creating a household filled with laughter.
Considering the Impact of War and Crisis
Moreover, I find myself reflecting on the effects of war and crises. As mentioned in the comments, if Japan were to be caught up in a conflict, it could darken the futures of many talented youths. This thought reinforces my belief in the importance of peace, as creative activities cannot flourish without enjoyable times and a comfortable lifestyle. The moments I spend talking and laughing with friends or watching comedic videos are essential for rejuvenation, no matter how busy life gets. I hope that these small joys can be passed down to the next generation.
