It does indeed feel like conversations about Nakai-san have become less frequent in workplaces, schools, and homes.
I can relate to that sentiment as I’ve been thinking similarly. There was a time when he was the talk of the town, but now it feels like he has faded into the background. In my own home, discussions mainly revolve around the kids and work, with hardly any mention of Nakai-san.

Incidents that happen in hotel beds are particularly attention-grabbing, and it seems people are quite sensitive to those kinds of stories. At first, I thought, “These kinds of things generate buzz,” but now I find myself feeling a bit jaded with a sense of “here we go again.” It’s ironic that the women involved often face criticism in these situations. As a parent myself, I can’t help but wonder how such topics impact our children.
Future Topics of Interest
Once the news about Nakai-san settles down, I’m curious how many people will still remember him. Conversely, when new topics arise, it seems human nature to quickly shift focus to those. I’ve found myself watching more cartoons and educational programs for my kids lately, and it’s evident that the faces on television have changed. Ultimately, even someone who was once so prominent will gradually fade from the spotlight over time. That’s why I feel compelled to seek out interesting experiences now and create enjoyable memories.
