Question from a reader:
I’m worried about Ryoko Hirosue’s sons. I think it’s not good for them if the news about Hirosue continues. But, will it still be reported for the sake of ratings?
Thoughts on the Reporting of Ryoko Hirosue
Recently, there has been a lot of news regarding Ryoko Hirosue. Given her fame, it’s somewhat inevitable that the coverage would
increase, but considering her sons, there are moments that truly tug at the heartstrings. As a parent myself, I can relate to those feelings. I often wonder how the children feel when they hear about their mother or when she becomes a topic of discussion at school.
The Behind-the-Scenes of Reporting
In reality, the media often prioritizes ratings and sensationalism, sometimes crossing the line into invading privacy. Behind the news we see on television and online, there exists excessive reporting and the presence of paparazzi. While I understand the necessity of reporting, I believe there should be more consideration for the feelings of the children involved. I remember a time when I was enjoying snacks with friends, getting caught up in discussions about celebrities. We would say things like, “I wonder what happened to that person recently?” before realizing we had a mountain of snacks in front of us. Yet, even during those fun conversations, the thought of “But what about their privacy?” occasionally crosses my mind.
Feelings of Concern
Everyone has families, and children, so it’s not just Ryoko Hirosue who might feel this way; other celebrities might experience similar feelings regarding media coverage. When I think about how I would feel if I were in the same position, it does evoke a sense of worry. It makes me reflect on what I can do to protect my children’s idea of a “normal life.” So, what do you think? As a parent, how do you perceive the reporting on celebrities? Please share your thoughts and experiences in the comments.
