Question from a reader:
Is Takashi Tachibana of the NHK Party really aiming to dismantle NHK?
Discussion on Takashi Tachibana and NHK
Recently, while I was relaxing at a café with a friend, the topic of Takashi Tachibana came up. I asked my friend what he thought about Tachibana’s calls to “destroy” NHK. My friend responded, “I understand what he’s saying,
but I question whether the public is actually interested.”
How to View Tachibana’s Activities
Is Tachibana truly aiming to dismantle NHK? His claims include concerns about the inappropriate use of license fees and doubts regarding the high salaries of its employees. I do believe that there is room for improvement in NHK’s budget and operations. However, it seems that his approach is not widely supported by the public. Personally, from a legal perspective, I feel that his activities have certain merits, but they don’t seem to capture the public’s interest. As my friend pointed out, it seems like Tachibana’s actions are ultimately an attempt to showcase his presence by using NHK as a platform. While it is true that he has insider knowledge as a former NHK employee, the lack of a closer connection with the public is somewhat disappointing.
Between Discontent and Expectation
I often find myself working at a judicial scrivener’s office, focusing on legal and social issues. Therefore, I think it’s important to have individuals like Tachibana who take direct action. However, whether his approach meets the expectations of the public is a different matter. Especially if he fails to align with what the public is seeking, he is unlikely to gain support. Through our conversation at the café, I found myself reflecting on Tachibana’s activities. If his focus is on “destroying,” we must seriously consider whether that truly serves as a solution for the public. Now, I would like to hear from all of you readers. What do you think about Tachibana’s activities? If you have any opinions or experiences regarding NHK, please feel free to share in the comments. I look forward to hearing from you!
