Should You Pull for Select Pickup or Save for the Half-Anniversary in Uma Musume?

I’m a beginner at Uma Musume. I don’t have enough support cards, and I want to pull from the recently released select pickup. Should I wait until the half-anniversary, or is it okay to go for it now? I have enough stones for a pity pull.
