Understanding Roswaal’s True Intentions in Re:Zero: Is He Really Trying to Resurrect Echidna?

I have a question about Re:Zero. Is Roswaal’s goal to resurrect his master, Echidna? Does Subaru know that he has been in contact with Echidna? Also, I understand that Echidna invited Subaru to the tea party of her own accord, but why didn’t her disciple, Roswaal, invite him?
