Hello! I recently heard that Matsumoto Hitoshi is starting a new “Downtown Channel,” and I’m really excited about it. Matsumoto’s comedy is truly special. His unique perspective and sense of humor always warm the heart, no matter the
situation. A few years ago, I went to see Matsumoto’s stand-up with some friends. The atmosphere in the venue was just fantastic. The way the audience laughed together was truly moving, and I can still vividly recall that moment. Especially when Matsumoto unexpectedly delivered a punchline, we all burst into laughter, to the point of tears. Lately, I’ve also been watching comedy videos with my kids more often, and it seems that Matsumoto’s unique expressions and phrases are fresh and entertaining for them as well. They often ask, “Dad, what does this mean?” and I find myself shyly explaining things. It really makes me realize that the power of laughter can connect generations. On a different note, I’ve been spending more time at home recently, which leads to indulging in snacks a bit too much. I keep telling myself I need to diet, yet here I am, munching on chips while watching comedy… It’s a little embarrassing, but laughter really does help to blow away stress. Anyway, once Matsumoto Hitoshi’s “Downtown Channel” starts, I will definitely subscribe! I’m really looking forward to diving back into that world of laughter.
