Reader’s Question:
Is Saito Motohiko from Hyogo Prefecture a person with a strong sense of mission?
About Saito Motohiko’s Sense of Mission
Regarding Saito Motohiko from Hyogo Prefecture, I’ve had the opportunity to talk to him several times. My first impression was the strength of his sense of mission. While working part-time at a judicial scrivener’s office, I was impressed by
his serious attitude towards the cases he handled. One day, while he was explaining something to a client, he used humor to clarify the complexities of legal terminology. For instance, he said, “In legal terms, this is called a ‘creditor,’ but in reality, it’s just the person who lent you money. So, when explaining it to a friend, it’s easier to say ‘the person who lent me money,'” all while laughing. Watching him made the stiff image of law feel a bit lighter. His sense of mission conveys something beyond just work. He always seems to be thinking about what he can do for his clients, and his eyes reflect his seriousness. There were times when I thought, “He really loves this job,” especially when he sacrificed his own time for the benefit of his clients. Additionally, his slightly absent-minded side was also memorable. On meeting days, he would sometimes arrive too early and be found alone in the office, munching on snacks while waiting. Seeing him say, “I came too early,” while enjoying his snacks made him seem incredibly relatable and charming.
My Reflexive Feelings
Interacting with someone like Saito, who has such a strong sense of mission, inspires me to push myself harder. His attitude has taught me the importance of responsibility in the legal field and the value of human connections. That’s why every conversation with him warms my heart. Lastly, I would love to hear about any moments when you felt a sense of mission in your work or studies, or situations where humor played a role. I’d be happy to share my own experiences too!
