Reflecting on Shinzo Abe’s Legacy: How Time Shapes Our Memories and Moments of Laughter

Question from a reader:
Has it already been three years since Shinzo Abe passed away due to the issues with the Unification Church?

Passage of Time and Memories

Recently, I’ve been reflecting on the years since Shinzo Abe’s passing. It’s hard to believe that it was nearly two years ago when that incident occurred. At first, it felt like it happened
much longer ago. Every time it comes up in the news, the shocking event comes rushing back to my mind. What I remember most is the time when Abe was on television. His speeches were always powerful, often infused with a bit of humor that would make me smile. The blend of his seriousness as a politician with a touch of comedy left a lasting impression on me.

The Speed of Time

That said, the passage of time truly does fly by. My partner also passed away eleven years ago, and it feels like just yesterday. When I think back to the scenes from the comedy movies we watched together, I can’t help but smile. She would always say, “This scene is the funniest!” and I remember laughing heartily alongside her. The power of comedy can lighten the heart, even during sad times. Feeling the swiftness of time makes me want to cherish the small moments in daily life. For instance, the time spent with my children, chatting with friends, and sharing those casual laughs. I deeply feel that those moments eventually become significant memories. What memories do you have about the passage of time? Are there particular events or moments of laughter that stand out to you? Please share in the comments! Let’s reminisce together.
