How would you rank Janpoko Saito, Saito Dosan, and Saito Maruhiko in order of villainy?

Hello! Recently, while watching Janpoko’s skits with friends, we ended up discussing this topic. Ranking Janpoko Saito, Saito Dosan, and Saito Maruhiko in terms of villainy is such an interesting theme. Especially when watching Janpoko Saito’s skits,
his character is so charming that it’s hard to see him as a villain; he feels more like a comedic god.
Saito Dosan and Historical Context
Regarding Saito Dosan, when considering the history of Japan during the Sengoku period, we really need to take the historical context into account. Judging his actions with today’s standards feels a bit unreasonable, given that he lived during a time of upheaval. His story is almost like a drama, and no matter how much he might be seen as a villain, there are parts of his life amidst the historical flow that evoke emotion.
About Saito Maruhiko
Then there’s Saito Maruhiko. Hearing his name gives me an impression of someone quite “ordinary.” Just lacking in ability doesn’t mean he can be considered a villain; in fact, I think he represents a relatable figure. His existence seems to remind us of the importance of being “normal.”
Thoughts on the Conclusion
So, personally, I would rank them as “Janpoko Saito, Saito Dosan, Saito Maruhiko.” However, this is just my perspective, and I’d love to hear others’ opinions.
