Recently, some have suggested that the salaries of NHK employees should be comparable to public servants, but I wonder about that. In my view, if they provide high-quality programming, it’s understandable for them to receive appropriate compensation.

On the other hand, opinions about Takashi Tachibana are quite divided. His catchphrases and actions certainly draw attention. I find myself drawn to his new initiatives whenever I hear about them. However, I can also relate to the comments expressing that he is “noisy” and “causing a ruckus.” His style tends to elicit strong feelings, both positive and negative. Particularly, the opinion that he profits by defaming others pains me a bit. I hope the world of comedy and entertainment, which we cherish, can include more positive elements.
My Thoughts and Feelings
As someone who loves comedy, I think it’s fine to have someone like Tachibana around, but I believe that such influence should come with responsibility. Watching my favorite comedians reminds me of the incredible power of laughter. The jokes from my beloved comedians often serve as a source of comfort for me. I also look forward to finding content that I can enjoy with my children. Recently, there has been an increase in comedy shows aimed at kids, and having time to laugh together as a family brings me joy.
