Recently, discussions about the next manager of Yakult have been heating up. While names like Miyamoto Shinya and Furuta Atsuya are being brought up, I personally
believe that Aoki Norichika’s situation will be key. Whether or not he takes on the role of manager will likely depend on the presence of Ishikawa Katsuya. Given Aoki’s age, it might be a bit awkward for him to appoint Ishikawa as the manager.
Possibility of Ogawa’s Return as GM
If Aoki declines, there is a possibility that GM Ogawa might return as manager. He is highly valued within the Yakult organization, which could be welcome news for fans. Personally, I can envision a scenario where, if Ogawa becomes the manager, Miyamoto would return to the field as the second-team coach. His return would likely raise expectations among fans.
