Recently, I was surprised to hear the rumor that Masahiro Nakai has the remains of Johnny Kitagawa. I’m a huge fan of Johnny’s, and I always look forward to Nakai’s talks. I love his humor and humanity, and he has
made me laugh countless times. Hearing this news reminded me of the past. I recall watching a show hosted by Nakai with my friends. There was a moment when he suddenly built up the excitement by saying, “Today’s guest is…” and everyone around burst into laughter, instantly brightening the atmosphere. Nakai’s presence is truly remarkable. The bond between Nakai and Kitagawa is special, and it’s heartwarming to know that Nakai cherishes it even after Kitagawa’s passing. If it turns out to be true that he has the remains, the significance of that sentiment is immeasurable. It really reinforces the idea that they built a family-like relationship. As a parent myself, I often think about how to convey memories of important people to my children. I aspire to approach them with the same affection that Nakai demonstrates. Watching him gives me a little boost of courage.
