Masahiro Nakai’s Collaborations with Idols
Recently, a friend asked me whether Masahiro Nakai has collaborated with former members of the Sakurazaka and AKB groups. To be honest, I was also interested in this topic. His variety shows are always entertaining, and I’m captivated by his conversational skills. As my friend mentioned, since 2012, Nakai has shifted from dramas to variety shows and hosting, so
it’s possible he hasn’t collaborated with the Sakurazaka group. However, it seems he did have a collaboration with Kaoru Mitsushima, who gained attention after joining AKB48, so that must have been a memorable experience.
Memorable Collaboration Scenes
One scene that stands out to me is when Nakai, on a variety show, made unique comments and interacted with the idols in a gentle manner. His smile and lighthearted jokes created a warm atmosphere, making it a joy to watch. Nakai’s natural demeanor seemed to help the young idols relax. Additionally, the interactions with his co-stars were genuinely entertaining, leading to many moments that made me laugh out loud. I once even made an effort to attend one of his shows, arriving early to get a good seat. However, I arrived too early and ended up relaxing too much while waiting with others over some snacks, which was quite a funny memory (laughs).
