I’ve noticed that I haven’t been hearing much about the rumors regarding Putin’s cancer lately, and when I discussed this with a friend, I made an
interesting observation. He mentioned, “It was probably a rumor spread by America from the start,” and I found myself agreeing with him. Indeed, when you think about where the information originates, it often shows a bias.
Bias in Ukraine-Russia Information
Current information regarding Ukraine and Russia primarily comes from announcements made by people in the defense departments of the U.S. and U.K., doesn’t it? As a result, the perspective tends to lean heavily towards the U.S., U.K., and Ukraine. Recently, when watching the news, I’ve found myself questioning, “Is this really the truth?” Especially regarding Putin’s health, the information seems quite mixed. Talking with my friend often leads to amusing discoveries. He said, “As long as you have money, even terminal cancer isn’t an incurable disease,” which made me chuckle. It’s true that with medical advancements and the right financial resources, there may be a possibility to survive even terminal cancer. Reflecting on this makes me feel the unfairness of the world.
A Personal Reflection
Lately, I’ve found it challenging to keep up with the news, and as a result, I tend to snack too much. Particularly at night, when I think, “Just a little,” and end up munching on snacks while watching the news, I often realize the bag is empty before I know it… I do have my shortcomings, but discussing this with my friend has lightened my mood a bit.
