Reader’s Question:
Is there a possibility that Fuji TV’s new announcer, Uegaki Kotaro, may resign? Or is it unlikely?
Thoughts on Fuji TV’s New Announcer
Recently, there has been discussion about the possibility of Uegaki Kotaro, a new announcer at Fuji TV, resigning. To be honest, considering he has not even been with the company for two years, I believe the
likelihood of him leaving is low. This feeling is especially strong given the example of Announcer Kishimoto, who left so early; it was somewhat surprising. It felt as if he had already predetermined his career choices before joining.
The Toughness of the Announcer World
While the job of an announcer may seem glamorous, it actually comes with a lot of pressure. Since I also work part-time at a judicial scrivener’s office, I have firsthand experience of the harsh realities in the legal field. Each day, I have to meet client expectations, and how I express myself in that context is crucial. Uegaki must be facing similar pressures as well. I once went out for drinks with an announcer friend who mentioned, “I still get nervous when I stand in front of the camera.” It was surprising to see him change from being his usual easygoing and funny self to someone serious when it came to work. It made me realize the effort he puts in. Thus, it’s likely that Uegaki is also growing each day in his own way.
Looking Forward to the Future
I’m excited to see how Uegaki will continue to develop. I hope that as he works hard at Fuji TV, he will bring a fresh perspective to viewers. Of course, even if there are rumors of resignation, his personal growth must come first. So, what do you all think? If you have any thoughts about the job of an announcer, experiences related to resignations, or your own career choices, I’d love for you to share in the comments. I think it would be interesting to discuss our individual career paths together.
