Question from a reader:
Do you think the drama “Caster,” featuring Hiroshi Abe, is interesting?
Honest Impressions of the Drama “Caster”
Recently, I decided to watch the drama “Caster.” Given that Hiroshi Abe is part of the cast, I had high expectations, but I was also curious about how it would actually turn out. To be honest, I was drawn in
by the cuteness of Michieda-kun, and that made me watch it. However, after seeing the first and third episodes, my impression was… well, it felt a bit lacking.
First Viewing Experience
When I watched the first episode, I must admit that I wasn’t really captivated by the story. Hiroshi Abe’s character felt a bit unnatural, almost like he had poor articulation. I honestly wished he would speak a bit more smoothly for the role of a newscaster. Is there really a newscaster who stumbles over their words like that in front of the camera? I couldn’t help but laugh. Michieda-kun’s charm certainly stands out. His expressions and gestures are very soothing. However, I felt that the story development was thin, making it hard for me to emotionally engage with it. A friend who watched it with me felt the same way, and we ended up discussing it, ultimately agreeing, “It’s cute, but not interesting.”
Memorable Moments
Among the moments that stood out to me was when Michieda-kun encouraged Hiroshi Abe’s character by saying, “Please have more confidence!” It felt like a scene from a youth drama and was a heartwarming moment. Exchanges like that are truly uplifting to watch. Conversely, Hiroshi Abe’s bewildered reaction to those words also came across as endearing. Overall, though, it didn’t quite meet my expectations. With such a cast, I wished for a deeper drama. If you’re going to tackle the subject of newscasters, a bit more realism would be appreciated.
I’d Love to Hear Your Experiences
So, that’s my honest take on the drama “Caster.” I apologize to fans of Hiroshi Abe and Michieda-kun, but for me, it was a little lacking. However, I’m curious to know what you all think! Please share your favorite episodes or moments that fell flat in the comments. I look forward to hearing your perspectives!
