I watched an episode of “Sekai Gyoten News” without Nakai-san, and I didn’t feel much of a difference. I wonder if maybe Nakai-san was never really necessary. If that’s the case, perhaps his high fees were a waste.

Recently, I watched “Sekai Gyoten News” on TV, and it felt strange to see an
episode without Masahiro Nakai. Sure, since it’s mainly a VTR show, it could function without him, but I still felt his presence was significant.
Nakai-san’s Fan Psychology
As one of Nakai-san’s fans, I really love his unique talk style and sense of humor. Especially his interactions with Tsurube-san are just the best. Watching their well-timed exchanges brings a warm feeling, and there are plenty of moments that make me laugh uncontrollably. Plus, without him, it feels like the overall atmosphere of the show changes somehow. For instance, in a previous episode, I noticed Nakai-san’s expressions when he was commenting while watching a VTR, and those little moments of humor he adds. I believe that’s what makes it enjoyable for viewers. In that sense, it’s understandable why his fees are so high.
Sharing Emotions
Moreover, when Tsurube-san talked about Nakai-san, his expression looked undeniably lonely. You could feel their friendship and bond, which made me feel a bit melancholic too. After all, the trust they have built over the years is something special. I can relate to this myself. When I work on something with friends, I realize how important their presence is. For example, I recently made sweets with a friend, and it was fun because he was there, contributing various ideas and helping the cake take shape. If I had been alone, I might have given up quickly.
