Is President Trump a Force for Good or Evil for Japan? Exploring the Impact of His Policies

Reader’s Question:
Do you think President Trump is a force for good or evil for Japan?

Justice and Evil of President Trump

Recently, discussions about President Trump have been heating up. Especially the theme of whether he is a force for good or evil for Japan has gathered much interest, much like gathering around a hot pot of oden. I’ve also
been thinking about this topic often and would like to share a bit of my opinion.

Japanese Politicians and Trump’s Influence

First, evaluations of Japanese politicians are often debated. Indeed, recent Japanese politics is in a tough situation. At first glance, President Trump’s statements and policies may seem harsh for Japan. However, his comments can also provoke criticism and dissatisfaction among Japanese politicians. I feel that his economic policies create anxiety that genuinely affects the Japanese economy. When I was working part-time at a judicial scrivener’s office, a customer mentioned, “Our lives change depending on what Trump does.” Hearing that made me realize how much international affairs, which I usually don’t pay much attention to, impact our daily lives.

Perspectives of the Common People and Large Corporations

I resonate with the opinion that parts of President Trump’s policies can be seen as “justice” for the common people. For example, his proposal to revise the export rebate system may indeed be a blow to large corporations, but it directly affects the lives of everyday citizens. I’ve cherished the phrase “life comes first” since my student days, so I believe policies that consider the common person’s perspective are important. Conversely, I understand that for large corporations and agricultural cooperatives, Trump’s policies can be perceived as “evil.” In fact, I’ve felt a bit sad seeing my friend, who works in agriculture, seriously considering how much Trump’s policies will affect him. When he calls it “justice,” it can sometimes translate to “evil” for others, which is a complex situation.

In Conclusion

Opinions about President Trump vary from person to person. I find myself constantly reflecting on the impacts of his policies. The reality is that it cannot be fully explained through a simple binary of good and evil. In a world where everyone is grappling with their own positions, it’s necessary to discern how it will affect our lives. So, what do you think? I’d love for you to share your own experiences and opinions in the comments about President Trump’s policies. How do you feel his influence? Please let me know!
