My Thoughts on Naoya Inoue’s Prime
While watching Naoya Inoue’s fights with friends, we couldn’t help but agree that his matches are simply the best. His speed and power are truly in a league of their own, and it’s exhilarating to watch. I do believe he has taken more
hits in recent fights, but perhaps that’s simply because his opponents have stepped up their game. For instance, even watching on TV, you can feel the speed of his movements and the impact of his punches through the screen. However, the fighters standing in the ring against him are prepared to take those punches, which sets them apart from ordinary boxers. Those with less experience may interpret getting hit as a decline in ability, but the reality is quite different. He constantly evolves.
Inoue’s Focus on Quality Over Quantity in Fighting
From the recent matches I’ve observed, it seems that his fighting style has shifted a bit. He used to overwhelm opponents with sheer physicality, but now he seems to be reading his opponents’ movements and shifting towards high-quality attacks. This could be a strategic adaptation as he moves up in weight classes. I believe he is fighting with an awareness of his own physical and technical limits. In my opinion, Naoya Inoue is currently in his prime, and I think there is still plenty of room for growth in his upcoming fights. His declaration that he will retire undefeated at 35 is likely a reflection of his awareness of when he might reach his peak.
