Thoughts on Manager Shinjo Takeshi
Manager Shinjo Takeshi, commonly known as “Big Boss,” truly has a unique presence. While his charisma and good nature stand out, some opinions raise questions about his strategic approach. Personally, I find it appealing to have such
a distinctive leader on the team. When he took on the managerial role, many focused on his unique character. In short, Shinjo’s style can be described as that of an “entertainer.” He has the ability to brighten the team’s atmosphere and is skilled at motivating players. Particularly for less experienced mid-career and young players, the impact of his words and actions is immeasurable.
Comparison with Former Manager Kuriyama
On the other hand, his predecessor, Manager Kuriyama, had a hands-off approach, allowing players to develop their own ambition and grow. His management was very effective for seasoned players and veterans. However, he seemed to intervene little in team dynamics, which resulted in painful losses such as the departure of Nakata Sho and Nishikawa. I am excited to see how Manager Shinjo addresses these issues in the upcoming season. I wonder if he will prioritize communication with the players and unite the entire team, mixing anticipation with a bit of anxiety.
Personal Reflections
Recently, I’ve been working part-time at a judicial scrivener’s office, which also requires teamwork. I constantly think about how to boost the motivation of the members. Sometimes, I find myself arriving too early and working alone in the office while snacking. I believe that enjoying yourself is essential for creating a fun work environment with others. In this sense, Manager Shinjo’s coaching style might share a common thread. Creating an environment where players can enjoy their game is likely his true strength. What do you all think about Manager Shinjo? I would love to hear your opinions and experiences in the comments!
