Although I don’t live in Hyogo, I notice that news about Governor Saito frequently comes up, sometimes bringing a smile to my face, while at other times it makes me ponder. It’s particularly striking how issues like power harassment and his relationships with supporters are often in the spotlight, leaving me with mixed feelings.

I have friends from Hyogo, and when I ask them about Governor Saito, they typically respond with something like, “He has some supporters, but overall, it’s a bit murky.” Among his supporters, some believe that “because Saito is in office, Hyogo will improve,” while others express a desire for him to “think a bit more before acting.” I can understand both perspectives, which makes it clear that it’s not a straightforward situation. Recently, while enjoying some local delicacies with friends, we discussed how the governor could become more loved by the public. Among the snacks we were munching on, there were some famous Hyogo treats, and we joked, “Since there are such delicious things here, we hope the governor will step up his game!” This made me realize how important it is to listen to the voices and opinions of local residents.
