Recently, I’ve had friends talking about Ginshari, and I found their perspective on manzai to be really interesting. They mentioned that while Ginshari indeed won the M-1 championship, they feel there’s a slight lack of glamour to them. The term “ibushi-gin” fits perfectly! Their manzai makes
me chuckle more and more each time I watch it. I really enjoy their style of cleverly turning everyday occurrences into comedic material.
The Charm Behind Their Outfits
Speaking of which, their signature jackets and pants are quite iconic. I feel like changing them would diminish their appeal. Sometimes, I brainstorm ideas with friends, and I realize that style plays a significant role. For instance, there was a time I arrived too early while going out and ended up drafting manzai material alone at a café. Even though I attracted some curious looks, a few amusing ideas came to mind, and when I shared them with my friends, they really enjoyed it.
Looking Forward to Ginshari’s Future
I truly hope to see Ginshari featured in more variety shows. I want them to be loved by even more people, just like Chidori or Kamaitachi. I pray they come across great opportunities.
