Meeting Okada Masumi
As a child, I often watched Ultraman and was aware of Okada Masumi, but I didn’t know that his nickname was “Fan Fan.” Watching his works again as an adult brings a sense of nostalgia along with new discoveries, making it enjoyable. Especially his sense of humor in Kamen Norida still makes me laugh. The comedy from that era is unique and has a different charm compared to today’s stand-up and storytelling.
Memorable Comedy Experience
The other day, I went to a live comedy show with a friend, and the laughter there was truly the best. In that moment, all my stress just disappeared, and I really felt the power of comedy. Now that I’m in my early thirties and have children, I’ve come to appreciate the importance of laughter even more. At home, I look for comedies we can enjoy together, and those moments of sharing laughter with my child bring me immense happiness. However, I did have a little mishap recently when I arrived too early to a live show and ended up eating too much at a snack shop nearby. That was a bit of a regret. Next time, I really need to manage my time better… (chuckles).
