Is CBC’s Gobugobu Canceled? Latest Updates on the Show’s Status and Future

Question from a reader:
Has CBC’s “Gobugobu” been canceled? I think it used to air around 12:58 AM on Saturdays, and I’m curious about what happened to it.

The Truth Behind the “Gobugobu” Broadcast Suspension

Recently, a friend asked me, “Has Gobugobu been canceled?” I always looked forward to that show, as it had a relaxed atmosphere airing late on Saturday
nights. So, I decided to do a little research myself. I asked an acquaintance to contact CBC Television’s viewer center, and it turns out that the show is currently on a break as of March. It hasn’t ended; it’s just temporarily suspended. As for the broadcast in April, it’s still undecided. Hearing this gave me a bit of relief. I do miss that unique atmosphere of the show.

Nostalgic Memories and a Curious Future

Thinking back, I often watched “Gobugobu” with friends. We would laugh together in the late-night mood, sometimes getting into discussions about food. In particular, Hamada-san’s little mistakes and his interactions with friends were so funny that we would burst into laughter multiple times. Those moments brought me an indescribable sense of happiness. However, with the broadcast schedule currently uncertain, I feel a bit anxious. It’s like waiting for a verdict in a courtroom about the future. Yet, perhaps even more enjoyable developments are on the horizon. Thinking of that raises my expectations.
