Reflections on the Issues at Fuji Television
Hello! Recently, I’ve been reflecting on the discussions surrounding the sexual violence issues at Fuji Television, especially when compared to the power harassment problems at Takarazuka. The difference in responses is quite striking. As someone who loves comedy and is fascinated by what happens behind the scenes on television, it’s disheartening to see
these serious issues.
The Differences Between Takarazuka and Fuji Television
It was truly surprising how quickly the Labor Standards Inspection Office acted when the Takarazuka issues were reported. Given the serious suspicions that “someone might have died due to internal power harassment,” it was understandable that the government had to intervene. However, why is the situation at Fuji Television so quiet? The sexual assault against a former female announcer occurred during work hours, yet the Labor Standards Inspection Office seems to be inactive, which is frustrating. I can’t help but wonder if there are special rules for large corporations or television networks. Or is there some unseen force at play? It seems there might be reasons why the government is not intervening with Fuji Television.
Personal Feelings
Hearing these stories inevitably stirs my emotions. Recently, while watching television with my child, I found it complicated to think that such serious issues could exist behind my favorite shows. It’s a little sad to consider that the comedy programs I love might be plagued by such problems. Moreover, I truly empathize with those who cannot return to work. As a father, I always strive to provide my child with a safe and secure environment, so it pains me to see these issues unresolved.
