Certainly, when a
celebrity with significant influence gets involved in a controversy, it tends to be highlighted prominently. I remember when I went to a comedy show with friends, backstage the comedians were discussing, “What do you think about Nakai-san?” and it was interesting to see how divided everyone’s opinions were. Some even questioned, “Is he really a bad person?” which made me chuckle. What we usually see is his character and performances, and we don’t really know much about his actual life or struggles. Therefore, it might be premature to label him a villain over minor mistakes or misunderstandings.
