Question from a reader:
I’ve heard of Goemon baths, but does a Daisuke Jigen bath exist? Can someone enlighten me?
Considering the Existence of a Daisuke Jigen Bath
Recently, a friend asked me, “Is there really something called a Daisuke Jigen bath?” I’ve often heard about Goemon baths, but I’ve never come across the concept of a Daisuke Jigen bath. Honestly,
when I first heard the name, I couldn’t help but laugh. Daisuke Jigen is a character from ‘Lupin III.’ Just thinking about how a bath would be inspired by him is amusing.
Combining Daisuke Jigen’s Image with a Bath
Daisuke Jigen is known as a master of firearms and exudes a cool demeanor. Imagining him in a bath feels surreal. Perhaps his beloved guns would be placed in the bath, and having bath products with a “whiskey scent” would be a humorous touch. The bath itself might end up being full of holes, but perhaps that is what would make the “Daisuke Jigen bath” so intriguing.
An Entertaining Conversation with a Friend
The other day, while working at a judicial scrivener’s office, I discussed this topic with a colleague. He raised the question, “How would you market a Daisuke Jigen bath?” Indeed, if there were a Jigen bath, creating a stylish inn in a remote valley to provide a unique experience would be an interesting idea. It would be fun for guests to recite his iconic lines or to have some theatrical elements involved. However, I also believe that a Daisuke Jigen bath wouldn’t function well as a bath. No matter how you look at it, if his character were to be incorporated into a bath, it would likely just turn into a “mysterious waterhole full of holes.” I doubt anyone would have the courage to step into such a bath.
