Recently, hearing about Shingo Katori and Masahiro Nakai’s collaboration on ‘Matsumo to Nakai’ reminded me of something. As a fan of SMAP, I can’t help but be concerned about their relationships as each member follows their own path. Particularly, there are rumors that when Katori tried to talk about Kimura, Nakai cut that part. I have indeed heard stories about a rift between Katori and Kimura during SMAP’s disbandment, but what’s the reality? Personally, I feel that their bond is genuinely deep.

As some users have pointed out, rather than a rift, it might be more about consideration. Katori and Nakai have moved to their own agencies and are walking new paths, while Kimura remains with the former Johnny’s agency. Their differing positions may indeed influence their relationships. When I share something with friends or colleagues, I often consider their feelings and positions. There are times when it’s better not to say certain things. I truly believe that mutual respect is essential.

Moreover, there are so many amusing episodes among SMAP members. Watching their interactions on old variety shows always brought laughter. I particularly remember Nakai teasing Katori; it still makes me laugh just thinking about it. That exquisite banter was simply the best. I enjoy building such relationships with friends, where we can joke around and sometimes show little gestures of thoughtfulness.
