Exploring Goten’s Insight: How Mr. Satan and Majin Buu Could Transform Finances in Dragon Ball Super

Question from a reader:
I heard Goten say in Dragon Ball Super, “If Mom made Dad more like Mr. Satan, our finances would be easier.” Goku defeated Demon King Piccolo and received the Blue Star Medal at a young age, right? (Although he never actually received it). If Mr. Satan teamed up with Majin Buu, wouldn’t they be able to
earn a lot of Zeni?

Reflecting on Goten’s Statement and Goku’s Fame

Recently, while watching Dragon Ball Super, Goten’s comment about his mother making his father more like Mr. Satan really stood out to me. It’s true that Satan has been a huge success as a TV hero, and the possibility of easing the family’s finances is high. As a father myself, I’m always thinking about managing our budget, so I can really relate to Goten’s feelings. Speaking of which, even though Goku received the Blue Star Medal at a young age, he hasn’t really leveraged that fame. After defeating Demon King Piccolo, the next generation claims, “Piccolo is no longer a villain!” which is a bit sad. I want to tell my kids, “Dad was really something back in the day!” but instead, they ask, “What are you doing now?” It feels quite similar.

The Combination of Satan and Buu

That being said, I truly believe that if Satan teamed up with Majin Buu, they could make a fortune. With Buu’s abilities, they could accomplish so much, and given Satan’s popularity, hosting events would definitely attract huge crowds. It’s interesting to think about how Satan and Buu could create a new hero image as “the man who defeated Demon King Piccolo.” However, if Goku were to start something like that, he might lose favor with the gods. Goku loves to fight, and I doubt he ever worries about finances. After work, I often reward myself with a little treat, thinking, “I worked hard today!” but Goku seems to have no such concept. Personally, I sometimes feel pressure when I think about finances, but as long as I can share moments of laughter with my family, I feel like we can manage. Like Goten, it’s important to consider finances with a bit of humor sometimes. So, what budgeting wisdom or creative ideas do you all have?
