As my friend mentioned, Akina appeared in numerous commercials during the 1980s. The ones that stand out the most to me are the Kao shampoo and Canon copier commercials. I can still vividly remember how cute she was back then. Her smiles and gestures in those commercials exuded an indescribable charm. Speaking of which, while recent commercials tend to have a strong impact, I feel that older commercials were often simple yet memorable. Particularly, the commercial song for “MILD SEVEN FK” that Akina sang probably still lingers in the minds of many people today.

I believe the first time I saw Akina’s commercial was when I was in elementary school. I remember watching TV while eating snacks at home. Back then, I was so captivated by her singing that I sometimes stopped eating my snacks (laughs). At that moment, I think I was enchanted by her charm and became a fan. Even now, when I listen to her songs, I feel nostalgic and remember those times. I wonder how today’s kids feel about her music.
