Question from a reader:
It’s almost bedtime, and I’m wondering if you have any recommendations for getting a good night’s sleep? I was thinking that looking at Asakura Minami’s pictures might help me relax.
A Little Story for a Good Night’s Sleep
Recently, I’ve been getting into the habit of creating a little routine before bed. Specifically, I find that relaxing
while watching comedy is just the best. To enjoy my evening, I watch my favorite stand-up acts or sometimes strange videos that make me laugh and help me unwind. The other day, while talking with friends, someone said, “I wonder if looking at Asakura Minami’s pictures would help me relax.” I couldn’t help but laugh, but it’s true that being comforted by a cute character is nice. When I see images of a slightly plump Asakura Minami, it somehow brings me a sense of relief. I remember saying goodnight while we all laughed together—it felt like we were sharing the same dream.
The Power of Laughter and Relaxation
Especially lately, after saying “good night,” I’ve noticed I start yawning and feel sleepy almost immediately. It seems like that one phrase helps calm my mind. The fact that my father and brother graduated from Tokyo University adds a touch of humor to our conversations. I also want to pass on a little sense of humor to my own kids. By the way, watching someone do a Y-shaped balance in ballet is truly beautiful. Seeing that makes me want to have some kind of goal for myself. I sometimes think about trying out dancing… but I feel like I would get out of breath right away (laughs).
How Does Everyone Relax?
So, how do you all relax to get a good night’s sleep? If you have any special routines or recommended relaxation methods, please share! Maybe it will make my evenings even more enjoyable. I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments! Goodnight, and sweet dreams!
