Question from a reader:
Is Downtown planning to launch a new platform?
Thoughts on Downtown’s New Platform
Recently, I’ve been hearing buzz about Downtown launching a new platform, and I can’t help but feel a bit excited. As the world of television continues to evolve, I’m curious about how they will entertain us in this new format. I remember laughing out
loud with friends while watching “Wednesday Downtown” before my child was born. Matsumoto’s unique wit and Hamada’s reactions were just the best, and before we knew it, the night had flown by. I ate way too many snacks that night, and stepping on the scale the next day was a scary thought (laughs). But the laughter and the time spent with friends during those moments are invaluable treasures. As some users have commented, I completely resonate with the idea that the humor of “Water Downtown” and “Gaki no Tsukai” diminishes without Matsumoto. Downtown should remain true to themselves, as their style is unique and unparalleled. With the new platform set to launch before the summer, I’m excited to think that we might see new stand-up or skits! As a fan, I want to support their new challenges and look forward to what’s coming.
