Question from a reader:
Since Canelo Alvarez has lost to Mayweather, is there a possibility that he might also lose to Crawford?
Thoughts on the Canelo and Crawford Matchup
Recently, I’ve been thinking about the matchup between Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford, and it brings back memories of when Canelo lost to Mayweather. That fight was truly shocking. I still vividly
remember how hard the young Canelo fought against Mayweather. Back then, Canelo was in his twenties, and people were excited about his potential for growth. Watching his matches made me think, “What will happen next?”
Growth of Canelo and Crawford’s Strategy
As time has passed, Canelo has grown immensely. The current Canelo exudes the strength of a true champion, and his fighting style has matured. But as some of my friends suggest, how would a matchup with Crawford play out? Crawford seems to have increased in size and weight, and his speed and technique are truly remarkable, so it’s likely to be an exciting fight. However, I have to admit that I’ve noticed some signs of decline in Canelo recently. As he ages, I sometimes feel his performance varies from match to match. In particular, while watching his fights, I’ve noticed there are fewer moments where he showcases the overwhelming strength he once had.
Reflecting on My Thoughts
Despite this, I still want to believe in Canelo’s victory. His incredible stamina, experience, and above all, his desire to win are qualities that I think can overcome any opponent. Yet, I’m also curious about how much Crawford will prepare for this fight. There’s a possibility that Canelo could face unexpected challenges. Personally, when I watch matches, I always prepare snacks and get hyped with friends, but I sometimes end up overeating. Caught up in the excitement of the fight, I munch away on popcorn and chips. I plan to arrive early before the match starts, but I often find myself lingering in the snack section (laughs).
