My friend mentioned, “In the future, due to population decline, we might not see such geniuses arise,” which made me ponder. In fact, looking back over the past 50 years, geniuses like Yasuharu Ooyama, Koichi Nakano, and Yasuhiro Yamashita have indeed emerged. History shows that there have been unparalleled masters like Yoshimi Kunii in the post-war period, and it seems that even as times change, talent continues to be born. One day, while working part-time at a judicial scrivener’s office, an event made me reflect on “talent.” A customer shared their dreams with me, and I was overwhelmed by their passion. I realized that the determination to keep striving toward one’s goals might be the driving force that brings out talent.
