Question from a reader:
When listening to the discussions about Yusuke Narita, I feel that there is some bias in his thoughts and statements. What do you all think?
Thoughts on Yusuke Narita
Recently, there has been a lot of debate surrounding Yusuke Narita’s comments. Many people express the opinion that there is bias in his thoughts and statements. In fact,
when I heard his remark about “the elderly committing collective suicide before they become senile,” I couldn’t help but exclaim, “What?!” That statement was truly shocking. The other day, I was watching an interview with him alongside a friend. My friend commented, “He’s interesting, but a bit extreme, don’t you think?” I nodded in agreement because while Narita offers a unique perspective, there are also moments when I find his views to be somewhat radical. I think that’s why opinions about him are so divided.
His Presence on Television
I also wonder why television networks choose to feature him. He is certainly intelligent and recognized in the U.S., but I believe that having a more balanced viewpoint would be more acceptable to viewers. As my friend mentioned, in relation to the political funding report, he seems to hold opinions that are aligned with the Liberal Democratic Party, which might be the reason the media supports him.
The Importance of Our Opinions
However, I think the ability to have such discussions is due to the diversity of opinions we possess. Sometimes, bold opinions like his are necessary, while at other times, a more gentle perspective is called for. We can also learn something from his statements. Speaking of which, I have been thinking a lot about parenting lately. I’m grappling with what values I want to instill in my children. While it’s important to be bold in expressing oneself like Narita, I also want my children to have a flexible way of thinking. What do you all think about Yusuke Narita’s comments? Please share your thoughts on his viewpoints and statements in the comments. It would be great if we could have a deeper discussion while sharing our opinions!
