Question from Readers:
What do you think about Takashi Tachibana from the NHK Party? Should he refrain from giving speeches in the future?
Thoughts on Takashi Tachibana’s Speeches
Recently, Takashi Tachibana has been the center of attention. The assassination attempt was truly shocking, and regardless of the circumstances, we never want such things to happen. I’ve also pondered the question of
whether he should continue delivering speeches.
What Should He Do if He Has an Injury?
There are instances where presidential candidates in other countries have gained an advantage in their election campaigns following assassination attempts. Will Tachibana also leverage this “injury of honor”? Regardless of whether he reflects on this himself, I agree that it would be prudent for him to refrain from street speeches. There are concerns about copycat incidents, and I believe the risks are too high. Recently, I had an opportunity to hear speeches in person, but they were always held in crowded places, which created a very tense atmosphere. While I intended to listen to the speeches, I found it amusing to observe the reactions of the people around me, and I couldn’t help but laugh at times. One memorable moment was when the speaker said something funny, and I made eye contact with the person next to me, sharing a grin.
His Activities
Tachibana’s activities are indeed provocative, but I can understand why some people might feel he has gone too far. Since he began promoting GaaSyy, his style seems to have taken a more extreme turn. Engaging in activities that pressure others often comes back around, and I feel he should act more cautiously. Personally, when I start something new, I tend to be a bit reserved and pay attention to the reactions of those around me. For example, when inviting friends over, I sometimes overcook and end up eating too much myself. From such experiences, I think Tachibana might also need some time to step back and reflect.
