Question from a reader:
I’m not really sure about the appeal of Mana Ashida; I find Hikari Suzuki more attractive. She’s a University of Tokyo graduate and speaks English as a lawyer. Is Mana popular among moms with daughters?
The Appeal of Mana Ashida and Hikari Suzuki
Recently, I had the opportunity to think about the appeal of Mana Ashida and
Hikari Suzuki. To be honest, I initially didn’t quite understand what was so great about Mana. However, as I took the time to observe her presence, I gradually began to see her charm.
Growth from Child Actor
She’s been on television since her debut as a child actor. Back then, she left a strong impression as a small and adorable child, but now she has grown into an intelligent and beautiful woman. Her expressive acting and composed responses in interviews are truly captivating. I remember that I have friends who are fans of Mana, and after watching her dramas or movies, they excitedly tell me, “Mana-chan is amazing!” The feeling of having watched her grow up alongside them might be what stirs the hearts of her fans.
The Appeal of Hikari Suzuki
On the other hand, Hikari Suzuki’s charm is also quite special. The fact that she graduated from the University of Tokyo and is aspiring to be a lawyer makes her an object of admiration! Her intelligence and calm judgment skills can easily capture one’s heart. I’m always impressed by her sharp comments and precise advice on television shows. In reality, women like Hikari are quite rare in our surroundings, making her presence stand out. Watching her succeed motivates me to work harder and serves as a source of inspiration.
Considering the Reasons for Popularity
When I think about the reasons for Mana’s popularity, I believe her “recognition” and “positive image” play a significant role. For fans who have watched her since her child actor days, witnessing her growth is likely a unique experience. In contrast, Hikari’s appeal is emphasized through her achievements and knowledge. Both possess wonderful individuality, but it’s interesting how the reception can vary depending on personal preferences. I, myself, enjoy the days of parenting while indulging in comedy, and seeing talented and attractive women like them makes me want to strive harder. It’s especially important to show my children attitudes like, “I hope you become a woman like this.”
What Do You Think?
So, what do you all think? Which appeal resonates more with you: Mana Ashida or Hikari Suzuki? Or do you have a favorite female talent that you prefer? Please let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear everyone’s opinions.
