Days Growing Up with Music

Recently, while discussing music with friends, I felt a wave of nostalgia. Talking about Japanese artists brings back a flood of memories. Just hearing the names Eikichi Yazawa,
Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi, and Shogo Hamada gets me excited.

Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi and Memories of Youth

One artist I particularly love is Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi. I remember late-night conversations with friends while listening to his songs during my university days. Whenever I hear “Kanpai,” memories of those times with my friends come rushing back, and my heart still warms at the thought. Back then, we used to go karaoke and passionately sing Nagabuchi’s songs. Now that I have children, I find I sing as much as I used to, but I hope to experience that joy again.

The Charisma of Eikichi Yazawa

I also adore Eikichi Yazawa. His live performances are truly breathtaking, and you can feel the energy in the venue. I’ve attended his concerts a few times with friends, and watching him perform somehow revitalizes me. His presence, often referred to as “Eiyan,” always inspires me. While I love his songs from the Carol era, he also has a different charm now.

As for Shogo Hamada…

When it comes to Shogo Hamada, opinions among my friends tend to differ. His music has a unique vibe that resonates with his fans, but I find it a bit challenging to get into. However, when I attended a concert with a friend who is a devoted fan, I was impressed by the way he passionately sang, realizing that there are various ways to enjoy music.
