Question from a Reader:
Is it criticized when celebrities engage in reselling, and what about buying products from resellers?
Thoughts on Reselling
Recently, I was having a conversation with a friend about celebrities engaging in reselling. He said, “No way, they have too much influence to be doing that!” It’s true that their influence is significant. However, I have a slightly
different perspective on the issue.
The Ethics of Buying from Resellers
Buying products from resellers often comes under fire, but this is quite a complex issue. For instance, when I went to an event and discovered that the merchandise I wanted was sold out, I felt pretty hopeless. A friend suggested, “Why don’t you check a reselling site?” but I hesitated. In the end, I bought some other items, but when I got home and saw the merchandise my friend had bought, I felt a twinge of envy. I also have reservations about purchasing from resellers, but when there’s something I desperately want, it creates a moral conflict in my mind. I often find myself questioning, “Do I really need this?” and ultimately, I might end up acquiring it. This is especially true when it comes to merchandise of a character that my child loves; as a parent, the desire to make them happy becomes even stronger.
What Do You Think?
There are mixed opinions on reselling, but it’s interesting how discussing it with those around me provides new perspectives. Listening to each other’s views while organizing my own thoughts feels a bit like watching a comedy act, with laughter and various opinions flying around, making it enjoyable. So, what are your thoughts on reselling? If you’ve ever bought from a reseller or have feelings about it, please share in the comments! I’d love to hear your opinions and think more about this topic.
